Finding Hope in 2020
I am so, so excited to share some things that are happening all around me — for friends of mine, and for our clients. I’m just bursting with excitement!
2020 has been...well, it’s just been. It’s been a lot of things: a lot of sadness, a lot of having to be flexible, a lot of major events happening in our world, and not just where I am in Indiana, but everywhere.
It’s been very sad, and a lot of people continue to struggle because life as we knew it is different and not only that, there’s still some ongoing things we’re all working through to get back to “normal” again.
I think that’s why I’m even more excited to hear such great news from these four women!
First of all, any good news means are some signs of hope. These signs of hope signal that when we have a goal in mind or when we decide for ourselves that we want that change, to make a difference in our lives, or to just explore the world, this is what happens. Hope comes forward, and I’m just so happy.
The two that I can’t name, these are personal friends of mine. One is a close personal friend, and she wanted to be a mom for a long time. She and her husband had been married for years and have done all the single-life activities as a couple. When it was time to start a family, she ran into problems. A LOT of problems.
A few years ago, she did end up having a miracle baby even though every doctor and specialist told them they wouldn’t be able to take that path. Unfortunately, she experienced a loss earlier this year and has really struggled through 2020. But recently, she found out — she’s pregnant again!
Everything seems good so far, and I couldn’t be happier for her journey!!
Then just last night, a second friend tells me her husband’s job has an opportunity for them to live in St. Thomas Virgin Island for about 8 months.
I was FLOORED. Is this April Fool’s Day? Is this a joke? Because this is just astounding information! It’s absolutely beautiful there.
About 6 weeks ago, the husband and I were home and the news was so bad, things were just dreary in every direction, and we were dreaming about a vacation. We were lucky enough to have traveled to St. Thomas a few years back fell in love with it. We were even looking at dream houses in St. Thomas just last week! The coincidence was spooky and perfect for bringing hope back to the forefront.
In other amazing dream-reaching news, one of my first clients, Brigette Iarrusso, and her family are in the midst of Marie Kondo-ing their lives and, in a year from now, are planning to move to Spain.
It’s been a dream of theirs for a long time, and now they’re both in a place where they can continue to grow their businesses online and provide the same amazing services and coaching services through her business, Embrace Change, and they’re going to be able to live in Spain!

I also have another client, Kendra Araujo, who lives in San Diego, and she and her husband are in Croatia for about a month.
On her social channels, she talks about how they were able to travel in style and how it relates to self-love, and how even through 2020 is difficult, they were still able to do this amazing trip safely with gorgeous views.
These four stories of things that are happening are a glimpse as to what hope there is still left in the world.
Some of you, myself included, LOVE to travel. And even though we’ve traveled a bit, I still had that feelings of “I don’t know if it’s possible now.”
Now, I see things are still happening and, even in the midst of a global pandemic, things are still moving forward. You can still chase that dream.
