Ten Things to Email Your List
Things to Email Your List
Do you feel stuck when you sit down to write your newsletter or overall communication to your list?
I have gathered TEN ideas for what to send!!
1 new blog posts
Whether these are your blog posts (ideal situation) or ones you come across that will be helpful to your audience make sure to add a little intro and give 1-2 main points that resonate with your reader without giving the whole thing away.
2 your best performing post
Look through your Facebook and Instagram and find your best performing posts, ones that got the most comments and questions. You can either answer the questions in-depth or re-do that post with different words or with a fresh perspective. Make sure it's been a while since you used that post and not just a few days.
3 sales and discounts
This one is pretty obvious but it is rarely done with tact. Unless you are selling physical products and your subscribers said they are there for "sales and discounts" you need to do this carefully. Tell a story that leads to this product making your reader's life better. Don't just throw the sale at them and then wonder why no one is buying.
4 link to Facebook or Instagram Live
Do you regularly do Facebook or Instagram Lives? Tell your list about them, why will they want to watch? What problem are you solving in this live? Pique their interest and then direct them to the video! Or invite them to your next live, make sure to include the topic, time and date so they can easily find you.
5 your favorite things
Stick to a theme and create a list of your "Top 5" or "Top 10" tell them why you love each thing and how it will benefit them, then link to it!
6 answer their questions
Your followers always have questions so answer them! If it requires a lengthy reply you have a whole email or if the responses are brief you can answer a few questions in one email. Ask them if it's ok to share their name and let other readers know who asked the question so they'll be more likely to engage when they see others doing so.
7 free valuable content
Have you created a new freebie lately? Let your current list in on it! You can exclude those that signed up to your list using that freebie if you don't want to sound like a broken record. Do you have a playlist of your favorite motivational videos on Youtube? Tell your list about it! Give them VALUE!
8 feedback and surveys
Ask your list for their help when it comes to your business! You can let them pick between two e-book covers or something similar. Ask them what they enjoy and don't enjoy reading about. Get to know them and use their responses to make positive changes in your business!
9 birthday or special date
Want to make your subscribers feel special? Ask for their birthdays and set up an automatic email that gets sent on their birthday. You can include a special freebie or a discount code or even just a sweet note will go a long way in making them feel special!
10 lesson learned
Have you recently listened to an amazing podcast episode that blew your mind with information? Break it down for your readers with a few main points and then give your thoughts on each of those points!
